Volunteering Partnership 

The Community's vision as outlined in the Roxby Downs Community Plan (2005) is for Roxby Downs to enjoy a high volunteer participation rate by residents of all ages and that volunteers are valued, recognized and rewarded for their efforts.

The Volunteering Partnership was established in September 2005 as a subcommittee of the Roxby Downs Community Board. The Partnership operates as facilitated discussion group. It operates as the peak body for volunteering in Roxby Downs and contains representatives from many of the volunteering organisations in town, including emergency services, community services, and arts.

The aim of the partnership is to discuss common issues, find collective solutions, and provide support in increasing participation and recognizing and rewarding volunteers. The Forum currently manages the Community Person of the Month award which recognises the work of our volunteers.
