Alcohol & Substance Abuse Partnership 

The community's vision, as outlined in the Roxby Downs Community Plan (2005), is that Roxby Downs has a culture of responsible drinking and nil tolerance towards substance abuse of any kind, making Roxby Downs a safe, enjoyable place to live and visit.

The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Partnership was established in September 2005 as a subcommittee of the Roxby Downs Community Board. The partnership operates as a facilitated discussion group and contains representatives from SA Police, Health Services, Roxby Downs Council, BHP Billiton, Licensed Venues and interested members of the community.

In 2010, the Partnership commissioned an Alcohol and Substance Abuse research study which has now been completed. It is proposed to engage a Project Officer to assist with implementation of the recommendations.
